BikeMaster is a bicycle-related software program that, among other things, makes it possible to create and view riding routes in the greater San Jose area. BikeMaster keeps track of the amount of distance and climbing along a given route, plus shows both a map and an elevation profile for the route. It will also predict riding times and total times to do the ride.

A collection of over 1330 bike routes, created by BikeMaster, is now online. Each route consists of a text file, showing miles to each turn for a list of roads. More routes are being added all of the time. With BikeMaster, you can also easily create and save your own routes.

All of the routes can be found on the Bikemaster website, and allows sorting by route number, or by number of miles, or by feet of climbing. Plus, filtering is available to show only routes that contain a certain road.

Don Axtell is the Bikemaster. Riding since he was a baby. He can answer almost any route question. Don is a regular ride leader for Almaden Cycle Touring Club.
BikeMaster has long since stopped being updated. No new routes are being accepted. A better option now is to use RideWithGPS.
